Loan Against a Renault in South Africa
With Pawn My Car, it’s fast and straightforward to get a competitive, asset-based loan against a Renault.
As of mid-2022, the Renault Kiger cross-over ranked among the top 10 best-selling cars in South Africa.
Other Renault models, including the Kwid, Triber, Duster and Sandero, remain hugely popular with South African buyers.
How a loan against a Renault works with Pawn My Car
Getting a loan against a Renault sedan or SUV through Pawn My Car is quick, reliable and convenient.
Simply tell us about the vehicle, either online or over the phone. Based on information like the car’s make, model, age and condition, we can immediately provide an initial loan offer.
If you choose to proceed, we’ll arrange to appraise the vehicle at a Pawn My Car branch and make a final offer, setting out the fees, interest rate and repayment terms.
We’ll keep the vehicle in a highly secure storage facility for the duration of the loan repayment period. Note that unlike a “pawn and still drive it” deal, this will not compromise your ownership of the vehicle.
Once the funds are repaid, your Renault is returned, in the same condition you left it.
Advantages over other loan types
Asset-based loans are a type of secured loan.
They offer a range of benefits over unsecured bank loans, payday loans and informal loans, such as:
- high approval rates, regardless of credit score or employment status
- easy online applications, with minimal paperwork
- no credit checks or affordability assessments
- discrete and confidential loan transactions
- rapid disbursement of funds
- enable the retention of vehicles as high-value assets
When pawning a Renault makes sense
By pawning a Renault, you can access the car’s value without selling it.
This is a flexible financial solution for when life throws an unexpected curve ball – or you’re presented with a potentially lucrative opportunity – and you need to adapt by accessing cash.
By leveraging the car’s appraised resale value, you can quickly raise emergency funding, without the approval rigmarole and delays typical of traditional lenders.
Anyone who owns a paid-off Renault vehicle in good condition will qualify for a loan.
We do not share information with credit agencies. This type of asset-based loan has zero impact on your credit record, or ability to borrow again in the future.
